  1. With Giu La Testa, Morricone again composes for Leone (his childhood school friend) and it shows he reserved his best melodies for The Master of Westerns. The score is better than the movie, probably done before the shooting with Leone telling Morricone what the story will be and some of 5/5(18).
  2. This soundtrack is one of Morricone’s most quirky and innovative - the list of intrumentation used looks like it can’t possibly work but Morricone brings it together with his customary skill, to deliver one of the most distinctive OSTs of all time (to another one of Leone’s master-work films)/5(47).
  3. Of all the Morricone Spaghetti Western soundtracks I rate this- Giu la Testa (Duck, you Sucker!) the very best- just eclipsing Once Upon a Time in the West. It's been for a long time a hard to get/expensive CD but it's worth the current price for this excellent 2 disc set; the first disc the soundtrack and the second remixes of the tracks/5(47).
  4. Fifth western in a row for Sergio Leone after the Dollar Trilogy and "Once Upon a Time in The West", "Giù la testa" (Duck, you sucker, ) is also the fifth collaboration between the director and Ennio Morricone, which would be followed by the final "Once Upon a Time in America" nearly 15 years later, before Leone's premature death in /5(47).

  6. The main attraction, and arguably Ennio Morricone's greatest creation for a Western movie, is the music from Giu la Testa aka Duck, You Sucker! aka A Fistful of Dynamite -- witty, ironic, and hauntingly ethereal and romantic, filled with unresolved passages that hang there and hold the listener captive, surrounded by delightful flashes of martial music, traditional Irish music, and banjo. It also happens .

  9. The Compost crew gets their hands on Ennio Morricone for some major remix efforts. On REMIXES, VOL. 1, International Pony kicks things off with a silly homage ditty, but Alex Attias and Swell Session quickly get things into house territory with their mixes.
